Workout Report: Tuesday 1.19.16

Total: 12.5 miles @ 6:42 pace

High Intensity: 6 miles @ 5:38 pace
Tuesday workout on the indoor track this week. I usually don’t plan on doing a workout with only one day of recovery following  race, but life happens and today was the only day I knew I would be able to get it in. To my surprise, I felt amazing. Here it is:

2 mile warm up @ 8:00 pace

1 x 2 mile @ 5:45 pace (11:29)

800m jog rest @ 7:45 pace

3 x 1 mile @ 5:40 pace (5:42, 5:40, 5:38)

800m jog between each mile repeat @ 7:45 pace

2 x 800 @ 5:20 pace (2:42, 2:38)

800m jog between 800’s @ 7:45 pace

2 mile cool down @ 7:45 pace


Mile repeats felt the best. I wouldn’t say “effortless” but I didn’t even have to think about what I was doing, I just ran.
